One good thing about the pandemic lockdown is that it has allowed me to reset in many ways. Learning to blog on my new website has been one of those silver linings. Just finding the time to create a new website was an even bigger one.
But there have been other silver linings, too ...
I've returned to piano practicing - one hour per day - which has yielded surprising results as I'm now playing music I never thought possible before Covid 19.
I've returned to reading my backlog of my revered National Geographics, and as a result, I feel I've traveled the world without leaving home.
I've returned to walking more routinely, which started with incorporating one grueling push-up with each walk, recorded with a stone. With each subsequent walk, I added a push-up, thus a stone so I could see my progress. Twenty-five walks later I had as many stones lined up, and I could now master twenty-five push-ups.
I've returned to hiking where I will take both my cameras (yes, I bought a harness that allows me to conveniently carry two DSLR bodies off my belt; aka camera-geek). This has allowed me to get back to my photographic roots as a landscape photographer.
I've returned to studying and investing in my craft with exciting online seminars. I'm now pushing pixels in ways I would not have dared a year ago. And I'm eager to try new portrait styles and techniques.
Bottom line ... I've returned to a good place. The above has been therapeutic. And it has reminded me how busy life was before March 2020. Oh, don't get me wrong ... I long for the good ol' times, too.
But to credit motivational speaker Mike Vance, "Slowing down is sometimes the best way to speed up."
Yours truly,
Robert

Yup, it's always great to reflect on some wonderful things in our lives, one year of which you and I shared together. It was life-changing in more ways than one. Keep in touch, my friend!
